As engineers with years of experience in machine manufacturing and spare parts management, Benjamin Reichenecker and Fabian Gemmecke know this problem firsthand. They founded PartsCloud in 2021 because the right solution for mid-sized manufacturers simply did not exist.

The founding
PartsCloud is founded by Benjamin Reichenecker and Fabian Gemmecke - two engineers with years of experience in spare parts management in mechanical engineering.
Their conviction: spare parts processes in mid-sized manufacturers are too manual, too reactive, too dependent on Excel.
Their vision: digitalize spare parts management for mid-sized machine builders. First customers are won, and the MVP phase begins.

2022
Pilot phase & the pivotal insight
Working with pilot customers reveals a clear pattern: the biggest lever in the spare parts business isn't in execution - it's in planning. If you stock the wrong parts, you can't deliver them either. This insight fundamentally shapes the development of PartsOS.

2023
Expansion into the US
With extensive market research, preparations for entering the US market begin. Initial conversations and pilot projects with US industrial companies confirm that the demand for intelligent inventory planning is enormous and international.

2024
Launch of PartsOS Planning
PartsCloud launches PartsOS Planning, an AI-powered software for inventory planning and demand forecasting. Pilot projects with mechanical engineering customers in Germany and the US quickly show strong demand - particularly from the US, where industrial companies are urgently looking for more efficient inventory optimization solutions. PartsCloud sharpens its focus entirely on planning software.

2025
PartsCloud secures €5 million investment
PartsCloud successfully completes a €5 million funding round to develop an end-to-end platform for industrial spare parts management. The focus is on further product development and expansion into new markets.
The goals now are: Accelerated growth, expansion of the partner network, and strengthening the market position as the gold standard for industrial spare parts management.

PartsOS Planning becomes our core
Across numerous customer projects, one thing has become clear: spare parts planning holds not only the greatest challenges but also the greatest financial potential. That’s why we’ve made PartsOS Planning the center of what we do. Our AI-driven solution empowers businesses to plan with precision, reduce tied-up capital, and increase revenue by up to 15%.
